Job Summary

Are you a creative, curious, experienced UX Designer looking to join a growing software development team?

Join the software innovation team to help drive Medpace's software further forward in its mission to accelerate the global development of safe and effective medical therapeutics. This is an excellent opportunity to join a design team in the early stages of modernizing internally built software tools used in clinical research and leverage your experience of best practices and pitfalls.

You will design user experiences to translate complex workflows and regulatory requirements into UIs that are intuitive and delight our users, owning the process from the early-stage concepts through delivery and success measurement. You will perform experiments with a cross-functional team and shape our user experience strategy by collecting data and insights to drive the best UX.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and influence business-wide discussions relative to current user experience projects and the future direction of design and user experience;
  • Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups with detailed and scalable visual design specifications for web and mobile interfaces throughout the design process;
  • Lead research and evaluation of emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends;
  • Lead the design planning and strategic phases of a project. Proactively pitch new UX ideas backed by strong, well-articulated rationale; and
  • Independently deliver design solutions for problems of large scope and complexity. Work through ambiguity, and adapt your approach to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or related field; or, relevant certification or equivalent work experience;
  • Minimum 5+ years of product or service design experience. 8+ years preferred;
  • Any previous experience to define, develop and document UX design and interaction requirements;
  • Exceptional communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to lead and innovate across teams and organizations;
  • Experience mentoring other user experience professionals;
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead projects from concept to delivery and ongoing improvement;
  • Portfolio demonstrating user experience activities, processes, and deliverables;
  • Strong understanding of analytics, target measurement and online/offline channel engagement attribution models; and
  • Advanced skill with design tools, such as Sketch, Invision, Adobe CS, Figma, etc.
