Job in a nutshellThis is a pivotal strategy-owner role at the heart of Berry Bros. & Rudd's next chapter in the USA. You will lead the development and delivery of the US marketing strategy by building the brand's presence, reputation and commercial momentum in a market of significant opportunity. From defining where we play and how we show up, to turning insight into action across acquisition, retention and customer development, this role will set the marketing agenda for fine wine and spirits across every channel.
Working closely with senior stakeholders in both the US and UK, you will be accountable for translating business objectives into effective marketing plans that drive acquisition, retention and customer growth. You will lead the execution of integrated campaigns, partnerships, communications and customer experiences that strengthen brand awareness, generate demand and deepen customer loyalty. This is a role for someone who can think boldly, bring elegance and commercial sharpness to every decision, and then make brilliant work happen. Please note that this position is offered on an at-will basis.
Marketing Manager Duties and Responsibilities- Own the development and delivery of the annual US marketing and communications plan, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and supporting the growth of BB&R's brand presence and customer base in the market.
- Craft and steward a distinct brand narrative for the US market, translating 328 years of history into a story that feels fresh, relevant & irresistible to both established and emerging collectors and connoisseurs.
- Identify and pursue new avenues for growth through partnerships and emerging channels to keep BB&R one step ahead in a fast-moving luxury market.
- Own the planning and allocation of marketing spend across acquisition, retention and customer development activities, ensuring investment is aligned with BB&R's international strategy.
- Develop initiatives and events to acquire, retain and convert new customers in line with growth targets. Work closely with General Manager & Events Coordinator to define & execute events program in line with growth targets.
- Drive relevant traffic to our brand's digital channels, ensuring an excellent and consistent (on brand) experience at every touchpoint.
- Drive PR and media coverage to build brand reputation using both global and local messaging. Build relationships with key press contacts, influencers and bloggers.
- Manage edm system and maximise tools to support Customer Base Management and increase customer engagement
- Champion a data-driven marketing culture, through customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to direct marketing strategy and planning.
- Produce performance reports for all marketing campaigns assessing these against target ROI and KPIs whilst providing continual feedback to senior stakeholders.
- Create, build, and execute promotional materials across social media and email campaigns, including writing offers and producing digital content
- Develop a deep understanding of the local market & of customer needs, allowing for value-added input to help shape the strategic plans for the region.
- Direct budget management responsible for the region's marketing budget.
- Lead, manage & train the Content & Communications Manager.
- Collaborate closely with the UK Marketing and Digital teams, sharing learnings and leveraging experience across the department.

What you will bring to the role Skills, knowledge and behaviours- Comfortable both setting strategy and being hands on with the delivery of it
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to hit the ground running, pick up existing plans, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record of establishing partnerships, delivering and executing marketing campaigns that meet brand and commercial objectives
- A team player that can motivate and manage multiple stakeholders to work together to achieve the same goal
- Proven Email Marketing experience, having spent time managing CRM strategy and campaign management - ideally with working experience of email marketing software
- Strong understanding of customer segmentation and techniques to cost-effectively drive customers through the acquisition, conversion, retention funnel
- Experience of Google Analytics, reporting on conversion and return on investment
- Excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve
- Strong copywriting skills
- Ability to think differently, challenge assumptions and bring a fresh approach
- Ability to collaborate with, inspire and motivate other colleagues internally, both within the wider marketing team and across all practice areas.
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach, being ready to get stuck in and pick things up quickly
- Strong interest and previous experience in wine & spirits or luxury sector
