Job Title: Regional Lead - Hiscox Underwriting Solutions Team (UST)

Location: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Manhattan, Scottsdale, West Hartford (Hybrid)

Job Description:

Hiscox is seeking a Regional Lead to guide a team of underwriters and manage relationships with regional brokers within our Underwriting Solutions Team.

This role carries responsibility for the underwriting quality and profitability of a regional book of business, applying advanced underwriting authority while overseeing and developing a team of underwriters.

In this role you will bring strong leadership and underwriting judgment, demonstrated through active engagement with brokers, underwriters, and key stakeholders across the US offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrites, prices, and negotiates accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategies and guidelines for the product lines.

  • Identifies underperforming brokers and renewal books and engages the team and key stakeholders to drive improvements.

  • Builds collaborative relationships with underwriters across the US offices.

  • Achieves production targets and underwrites business profitably.

  • Functions as an escalation point for both personnel and underwriting-related concerns and provides day-to-day coaching and development to team members.

  • In-depth knowledge of underwriting policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Advanced risk assessment, business needs assessment, and pricing knowledge.

Salary Range: $115-$140k

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment

**Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our office weekly**
