Full Job Description
Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Ultrasound Supervisor, incumbent performs the full range of basic diagnostic Ultrasound procedures and the more complex specialized procedures. Will prepare and position patients, adjust equipment to best demonstrate area of interest, operate various stationary and portable equipment and imaging systems. Will rotate shifts and assignments as needed. Hours will include holiday rotation. Assists in the training of Technologist Students as assigned. The technologist is expected to display professional conduct at all times in their interactions with other staff members, patients and visitors.

What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:
  • Must possess A.R.D.M.S. certification
  • Must have three years experience in diagnostic ultrasound
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • May be assigned to work in ambulatory clinics
  • Experience with Pediatric ultrasound to include neonatal heads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Competent with the following exams: NICU, Vascular surgery, Breast imaging, dialysis access, arterial upper and lower extremity, carotid Doppler studies, and TIPPS.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered RVT
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • A.R.D.M.S. in at least two specialties

  • Licenses and Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support
