Senior Tunneling Engineer and play a critical role in delivering some of Canada's most complex tunnelling, underground, mining, and infrastructure projects.
You'll bring deep expertise in rock mechanics and underground design to help shape safe, innovative, and efficient solutions. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute across the full project lifecycle-from early-stage studies through detailed design and construction-while mentoring emerging talent and strengthening technical excellence across our teams.

Your Impact- Lead the design and delivery of tunnelling, slope stability, and underground excavation projects in rock from concept through construction
- Deliver innovative geotechnical solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and long-term performance
- Oversee geological investigations, alignment studies, and advanced geo-structural and numerical analyses
- Guide multidisciplinary collaboration across geotechnical, structural, and environmental teams
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, strengthening technical capability and knowledge sharing
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting proposals and business development activities
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements across all project phases
- Contribute to continuous improvement through innovation, best practices, and lessons learned
The Skills That Set You Apart- 10-15 years of experience in rock mechanics, tunnelling, and underground design within a consulting environment
- Degree in Geological, Mining, or Civil Engineering (Master's degree considered an asset)
- Proven experience delivering large-scale tunnelling and underground infrastructure projects
- Strong expertise in excavation support design in rock environments (tunnels, shafts, slopes, stabilization systems)
- Advanced proficiency with numerical modelling tools (e.g., RS2/RS3, PLAXIS, GeoStudio or similar)
- Licensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Excellent technical writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required
- Fluency in English; French is an asset
CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $135,200 - $179,100
MB & ON: $123,300 - $169,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $122,100 - $162,200
