Senior Treasury Manager

Position Overview

The Senior Treasury Manager is responsible for providing strategic oversight of the company's treasury operations, banking relationships, cash management, forecasting, and financial controls across multiple properties and legal entities. This role manages treasury staff, establishes departmental priorities, ensures compliance with company policies, and partners closely with executive leadership, accounting, accounts payable, and operations to optimize cash flow and support the company's financial objectives.

Job Duties

Leadership & Department Management
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the Treasury team.
• Establish departmental priorities, workflows, and performance expectations.
• Review and approve treasury transactions completed by team members.
• Delegate daily treasury responsibilities while maintaining appropriate oversight and controls.
• Identify staffing, training, and development opportunities to strengthen the department.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop treasury strategies that support company growth.

Treasury Oversight & Cash Management
• Oversee daily cash management activities across multiple properties and legal entities.
• Monitor company-wide liquidity and ensure adequate funding for operational and strategic needs.
• Review and approve ACH payments, wire transfers, and other banking transactions.
• Oversee the maintenance of all company bank accounts, including account openings, closures, authorized signers, and banking documentation.
• Ensure positive pay systems, fraud prevention tools, and banking security measures are effectively maintained.
• Oversee intercompany funding and cash transfers while ensuring appropriate approvals and documentation.

Banking & Financial Relationships
• Serve as the senior relationship manager for banking institutions and treasury service providers.
• Maintain and strengthen banking relationships while negotiating banking services and fee structures.
• Evaluate banking products and recommend improvements to treasury operations.
• Ensure compliance with banking agreements and internal financial policies.

Cash Forecasting & Financial Strategy
• Oversee the preparation and review of cash flow forecasts and liquidity reporting.
• Analyze cash trends and funding requirements to support business operations.
• Present treasury reporting, cash flow analysis, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
• Partner with accounting and finance leadership during budgeting and financial planning processes.

Financial Oversight & Controls
• Oversee bank reconciliations and treasury-related general ledger activity.
• Ensure treasury transactions are accurate, properly authorized, and appropriately documented.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Accounts Payable leadership to improve cash reporting and payment processes.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities related to treasury operations.

Compliance, Risk Management & Internal Controls
• Maintain and continuously improve internal controls surrounding treasury operations.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, banking requirements, and audit standards.
• Lead treasury support for internal and external audits.
• Monitor financial risks, banking security, fraud prevention initiatives, and operational controls.
• Recommend policy enhancements to strengthen treasury governance and mitigate financial risk.

Systems & Process Improvement
• Oversee the effective utilization of banking platforms, treasury management systems, and accounting software.
• Identify opportunities to automate treasury functions and improve operational efficiency.
• Develop standardized treasury procedures and best practices across the organization.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting tools to analyze treasury performance and identify trends.
• Evaluate new treasury technologies and recommend process improvements.

Additional Responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned based on the evolving needs of the business.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive treasury, cash management, corporate finance, or accounting experience required.
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience supervising treasury, accounting, or finance staff preferred.
• Experience in property management, real estate, or multi-entity organizations strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience with banking relationships, cash forecasting, treasury operations, and financial controls required.

Schedule

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
