Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager in our growing Fresno, CA office.  The successful candidate will work on all phases of Transportation Projects primarily for Caltrans and other public agencies. and will lead with mentoring and managing the Fresno staff. Transportation projects may include roadway widenings, roundabout design, bridge projects, drainage systems, trail, utility relocations and preparation of contract documents.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have established client contacts, technical, managerial, and market access responsibilities to lead the execution of project work and implement business strategy to develop new client work and maintain existing client relationships. Candidate must have a BS degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of civil design experience. Prior experience with local transportation agencies and clients between Bakersfield and Merced is desirable. The work required by the successful candidate is diverse and requires strong communication and management skills, in addition to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering required.
  • Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
  • Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Knowledge of local clients is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $175,000-$200,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
