Your role and responsibilities
As a Transition Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of transition services to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities. You will utilize established agile transition methodology, activities, and work products to transition complex IT landscapes from client organizations or incumbent suppliers to IBM or IBM host country to IBM Client Innovation centers. Must have clear understanding of AI/ GenAI/ Agentic AI tools that support transition, specifically IBM products. Should have strong communication skills with ability to communicate with CIO and at the same time with low end IT team member.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Manage Transition Projects: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of transition services, managing scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables for the transition phase, and applying consistent project management techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
• Provide Project Direction: Provide day-to-day direction to the project team and regular project status updates to clients, ensuring a smooth transfer of responsibilities.
• Develop Project Plans: Develop project plans for ITIL process transformation or adoption, utilizing tools such as project management software and IT service management platforms.
• Analyze Client Business Issues: Use analysis skills to assess clients' business issues and determine the best transition solutions, leveraging knowledge of IT service delivery processes, IT Governance, SLAs, KPIs, and other relevant tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with Clients: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored transition solutions, ensuring a seamless transfer of responsibilities.

• IT Service Delivery Processes: Deep expertise in IT service delivery processes, including ITIL process transformation or adoption, with experience in developing project plans and managing transition projects.
• Agile Transition Methodology: Experience with established agile transition methodology, activities, and work products to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities.
• Project Management Techniques: Deep expertise in consistent project management techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management, with experience in managing scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables.
• IT Service Management Platforms: Experience with IT service management platforms and project management software to support transition projects.
• IT Governance and Frameworks: Deep expertise in IT Governance, SLAs, KPIs, and other relevant tools and frameworks to assess clients' business issues and determine the best transition solutions.
Must have clear understanding of AI/ GenAI/ Agentic AI tools that support transition, specifically IBM products, and must act as an advocate the IBM's GenAI solutions in transition.

• IT Service Management Tools: Experience with IT service management platforms and project management software to support transition projects, leveraging knowledge of IT service delivery processes and IT Governance.

• Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile methodologies and frameworks, applying consistent project management techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management.
• ITIL Process Transformation: Experience with ITIL process transformation or adoption, developing project plans and managing transition projects to ensure a smooth transfer of responsibilities.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
