Job Description
We are seeking a
Senior Training Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C
.Responsibilities:- Perform complex training development and delivery tasks in support of SEA 21 initiatives.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and oversight to junior and mid-level training and development contractors.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of training team members to ensure high-quality support and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Lead efforts in planning, designing, and implementing effective training programs tailored to Navy and DoD personnel.
- Ensure all training materials are aligned with current DoD regulations, policies, and standards.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to assess training needs, gather requirements, and integrate feedback into course development.
- Travel as required for site visits, audits, or coordination meetings (up to 10%).
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:- Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in training development
- Demonstrated experience overseeing contractor performance and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements
- Proven supervisory experience, including hiring, coaching, and managing training staff
- Strong background in interpreting and applying DoD policies, regulations, and standards
- Ability to travel (up to 10%) for site visits or stakeholder meetings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Advanced Degree
- 12+ years of professional training development experience
- Experience working within Navy programs or similar DoD training initiatives
