As a Senior Traffic Engineer at B&N, you'll collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry and help lead traffic operations/studies projects not only in Ohio but nationwide.
Here's what you'll be responsible for:
- Work as part of a project team, collaborating with industry leaders in transportation
- Lead studies and capacity analysis projects
- Prepare feasibility studies, interchange studies and traffic analysis for ODOT, local agencies, and clients throughout the country
- Develop and mentor less experienced traffic engineering staff
- Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery
- Maintain quality control of services and deliverables
- Engage with the transportation industry to identify marketing opportunities and build strategic business development relationships
- Serve as a go-to expert, providing technical guidance and support on traffic studies and capacity analysis
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited civil engineering program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the State of Ohio or eligibility for registration through reciprocity, PTOE desirable
- 8 + years of related traffic operations/studies
- Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam/Adobe Pro
- Proficiency in traffic engineering analysis software (HCS, Synchro, Sidra); Vissim and TransModeler experience is beneficial
- Prior Project Management experience desired
- Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
