Responsibilities:- Member Strategy & Implementation: Work directly with members via videoconference and phone to implement portfolio strategies and answer complex investment questions.
- Trading Operations Execution: Execute and manage daily trading operations to effectively support company investment strategies.
- Account Reconciliation & Reporting: Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure precise, timely financial and performance reporting.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong operational relationships with trading partners, custodians, and key industry stakeholders.
- Process Improvement & Optimization: Develop and implement streamlined workflows to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of trading operations.
- Market & Regulatory Monitoring: Stay current on market trends, regulatory updates, and external factors impacting trading strategies and compliance.
- Issue Resolution & Escalation: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve trading-related discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain departmental training materials, facilitating regular learning sessions for associates and financial planners. Cross-Departmental Expertise: Serve as a firm-wide subject matter expert on trading operations, market mechanics, and portfolio implementation.
- Complex Member Support: Partner directly with members on advanced service requests, including IRA transactions, cost basis adjustments, tax reporting, and money movement.
- Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives: Lead and support targeted operational projects and additional strategic initiatives across the investment operations organization.
Requirements- 5+ years of experience in trading operations or a related field.
- Knowledge of trading operations, financial markets, and securities regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Preferred:- Experience with trading and allocating separately managed accounts (SMA) and/or unified managed accounts (UMAs).
- Extensive knowledge and experience working with portfolio rebalancing software such as Orion Eclipse, Envestnet, or Addepar.
- Experience with sleeved trading practices, including the oversight and reconciliation of multiple sleeves within a portfolio.
- Deep understanding of direct indexing strategies, tax-loss harvesting, and large-scale ETF trading across multiple custodians.
