CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Manager to lead its team specializing in active and passive network infrastructure (outside plant and FTTH). In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for managing, developing, engaging, and growing the team while ensuring excellence in project delivery and driving business development with our clients.

As a Senior Manager, you will help define the team's vision and strategic direction, support talent development, and foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work environment. In addition to your management responsibilities, you will provide technical leadership in the planning, design, and execution of telecommunications projects.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining trusted client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and contributing to the growth of the telecommunications sector. You will also serve as a technical leader on strategic projects, ensuring the quality of engineering solutions and supporting project teams throughout project execution.

Primary Responsibilities

More specifically, you will:
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, professionals, and technicians by promoting professional development, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, serve as a strategic account manager, and actively contribute to business development and the preparation of proposals.
  • Define the technical direction for complex telecommunications projects and act as the technical authority for both internal teams and clients.
  • Oversee the technical quality of engineering deliverables while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, industry best practices, quality requirements, budgets, and project schedules.
  • Support the team in project planning, risk management, multidisciplinary coordination, and the resolution of technical and operational challenges.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide expertise on the most technically complex aspects of projects, primarily involving outside plant telecommunications infrastructure (active and passive networks).
  • Represent CIMA+ with clients, partners, suppliers, and industry organizations, contributing to the company's visibility and strengthening its market position.
  • Contribute to the development of the sector's business plans, identify new market opportunities, and support the continued growth of telecommunications services.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence within the team.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in telecommunications engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Engineering experience delivering projects for Hydro-Québec.
  • Strong knowledge of active telecommunications networks, including telecommunications equipment, as well as outside plant telecommunications infrastructure (fiber optics, FTTH, and backbone networks).
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English. Bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position.
  • Proficiency with design tools and specialized software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS) is considered an asset.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Experience with large-scale network deployment projects is an asset.
  • High level of integrity, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to excellence.
