Full Job Description
The Red Hat Telco Services Consulting Services team is seeking a Senior Architect to join us in North America. In this role, you will earn the trust and confidence of customers' engineering, development, and operations teams through in-person and remote interactions by aligning their requirements and use cases to the functional capabilities of our solutions. You'll play a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hat's product, Product Engineering, Support, Professional Services, and Sales teams to meet the needs of our most demanding customers. As an Architect, you will serve as a customer advocate with these organizations to deliver the right solutions and ensure they are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable manner. This remote work position will require travel to customer sites, and applicants can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada near a primary airport.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with project and customer team members to meet timelines and goals.
  • Contribute to project documentation and diagrams, including quality assurance (QA) and ticket and bug management.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with customers.
  • Work directly with senior associates and telecommunication clients, understanding their industry-specific needs, to guide the adoption of automation techniques and DevOps processes to improve the cloud life cycle, including infrastructure and application uptime, availability, and time-to-market.
  • Analyze client business requirements and translate them into specific technology, system, and application designs to ensure the architecture aligns with the client's long-term business goals.
  • Lead the architecture design activities and sessions, ensuring that various systems and technologies are integrated to meet the end customer's requirements.
  • Design and advocate for solutions using cloud technologies, robust design principles, multiple integration points, and automation and orchestration methods.


What You Will Bring

• 5-8 years in a related technology position, e.g., sales, consulting, operations, development, etc
• 4+ years of experience with Public Cloud and Linux technologies.
• 4+ years of experience with telecommunications technologies and networking infrastructure.
• 2+ years of experience with automation frameworks and tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
• 2+ years of experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, ACM, ACS, Quay, Ceph, or Kubernetes.
• Thorough knowledge of network functions virtualization (NFV), network acceleration such as DPDK and SRIOV, zero-touch provisioning (ZTP), cloud software-defined networking (SDN) or storage disciplines, and DevOps models and technologies.
• Experience with storage systems like FiberChannel (and/or FCOE), iSCSI, NFS, or other Software Defined Storage technologies.
• Extensive experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and design.
• Virtualization platforms utilizing KVM, QEMU, OpenStack, OpenShift Virtualization, and VMware.
• Experience with AppDev automation and pipelines. Technologies like Jenkins, Tekton, ArgoCD, etc
• Experience with networking technologies, including VLANs, routing protocols, 4/5G, IPAM solutions, and Load Balancers. Technologies like Infoblox TCPWave, F5, etc
• Experience in designing and delivering implementations using various public and private cloud infrastructure technologies and providers
• Interest and knowledge in AI/ML technologies and recent developments.
• Admin-level familiarity with vSphere, RHV, Nutanix, or OpenStack
• VMware infrastructure, including ESX, vCenter, [S/DV]Switches/NSX, Datastores, vSAN, vVols, vRealize, SRM, Backup software
• Advanced level with VMware VM foundational technologies for networks ([S/DV]Switches/NSX) and storage (Datastores, vSAN, vVols)
• Knowledge of common Add-Ons or third-party tools, including Aria/vRealize Suite, SRM, Backup software, and Performance tools)
• Experience with technologies including OpenStack, Red Hat Virtualization, Microsoft Hyper-V, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Experience in the Telecommunications Industry

The salary range for this position is $134,050.00 - $221,210.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
