We are seeking an experienced
Senior Tekla Detailer to lead structural steel modeling and detailing from design through fabrication and field erection.
This position combines advanced
Tekla Structures expertise with technical leadership. The Senior Detailer will be responsible for model and drawing quality, detailing standards, workflow improvements, and mentoring other detailers.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a
structural steel fabrication environment and understands the complete detailing process, from 3D modeling and connection detailing through shop drawings, fabrication, and erection.
Responsibilities
- 8+ years of structural steel detailing experience with advanced Tekla Structures proficiency.
- Structural steel fabrication experience is required.
- Advanced Tekla Structures proficiency is required.
- Proven experience developing or improving Tekla standards, templates, workflows, or detailing procedures.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, training, or supervising structural steel detailers.
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, connection detailing, erection sequencing, and shop drawing production.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, architectural plans, specifications, and engineering documents.
- Experience coordinating with engineering, fabrication, production, and project management teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate, fabrication-ready documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and production deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the relationship between 3D modeling, fabrication, and field erection.
