This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and hands on career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders.

An exciting opportunity within the Enterprise Risk & Finance Application Production Services (ERF APS) team for a talented and energetic Senior Technology Manager. ERF APS is committed to providing best-in-class support for business and technology partners. This leadership position is for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) with a direct reporting line to the head of ERF APS. The core responsibility of the team is to provide application stability and resiliency for our business, customers and clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to develop a high-performing AML application production services team, growing technology leaders and connecting the team to the mission and outcomes of APS&E
  • Provide consistent oversight and adherence to core APS&E processes which include Incident & Problem Mgmt., Change Mgmt., Capacity Mgmt., Event Mgmt., Service Request Fulfillment and Service Analytics & Reporting
  • Provide consistent management, oversight and adherence to governance standards, regulatory obligations, and platform stability
  • Develop and maintain strong engagement with senior leaders across Technology, Risk, Compliance and front-line units
  • Collaborate with application owners and front-line units on the prioritization of enhancements and remedial actions that promote stability
  • Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
  • Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
  • Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
  • Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
  • Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain
  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a senior technology leader, with a proven track record of leading technology support teams
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills with a strong working knowledge of application production services/support technology solutions (proprietary and third-party)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and framework
  • Possess a sense of urgency and thoughtfulness; able to inspire optimism and excitement in the organization
  • Strong verbal and written skills to effectively communicate with and influence teammates, technology partners, business leaders and executives
  • Ability to identify and anticipate key risks across technology and the business


Desired Qualifications:
  • Deep experience supporting AML, Global Financial Crimes, sanctions, KYC/CDD, transaction monitoring, or other financial crimes technology platforms within large financial institutions
  • Proven success leading technology organizations through regulatory remediation, consent orders, audits, and heightened regulatory scrutiny, delivering sustainable risk and control outcomes
  • Track record of strengthening operational resilience, platform stability, and service reliability for critical, highly regulated applications-bringing structure and clarity to complex, ambiguous challenges
  • Ability to unite product, business, architecture, risk, operations, compliance, audit, regulatory affairs, and engineering teams around shared accountability and results
  • Executive presence to influence decisions and build followership by communicating strategy, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders and stakeholders; relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, risk management, cloud)

Pay range

$135,900.00 - $220,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
