Job Description

The Technology Experience Consultant is a strategic business role responsible for representing the end-user voice in technology decisions and driving the product roadmap for RBC Wealth Management. This position serves as the primary liaison between field operations, wealth management leadership, and technology teams-ensuring that technology investments directly support advisor productivity, client experience, and business profitability. The role combines strategic influence over product direction with hands-on accountability for adoption execution and serving as the escalation point for complex user issues and second-level support.

What is the opportunity?

TEC serves as thesubject matter expert voice bridging technology with field needs - representing financial advisors, client associates, and clients to help shape the end-user experience. This role eliminates the disconnect between what technology teams build and what field professionals actually need to serve clients effectively

What will you do?
  • Serve as subject matter expert representing the voice of the end user across technology initiatives.
  • Drive adoption for all technology applications, while identifying early on any potential barriers to adoption
  • Capture, analyze and share end-user feedback received to stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to leverage initiatives across multiple business channels
  • Influence the development of new and enhanced technology, policy and procedures
  • Define the entrance and exit criteria for pilot(s) and rollouts
  • Develop pilot and rollout plan for new and ongoing technology initiatives, sequencing timelines against other pilots, rollouts and competing business priorities
  • Collaborate across internal departments on messaging and supporting materials to ensure consistent communication, awareness and adoption
  • Own the training and support approach for new and enhanced technology as well as all new and existing collateral materials (user guides, handbooks) are up to date and effective


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of financial services industry experience
  • Minimum three years of experience in training for the adoption of new technology, processes and policies
  • Understanding of the client and advisor engagement experience
  • An in-depth understanding of the firm's compliance policies and procedures


Nice to Have
  • Strong business technology background - able to quickly learn new tools and technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Advance technology and presentation skills: MS Office, Web-based learning tools, digital collaboration and presentation tools

The expected salary range for this particular position is $77,000-$143,000 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
