California Resources Corporation (CRC) is seeking a strong
Senior Techno-Functional Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Analyst to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting our EBS 12.2 application environment. This role blends deep functional knowledge of EBS modules with hands-on technical skills - configuration, customization, troubleshooting, and support - to keep the applications running smoothly and aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with business stakeholders to translate requirements into functional configuration as they are diving into the technical stack to build, extend, or troubleshoot EBS. This person works in close partnership with the Database Operations SME and business/functional teams, takes initiative, leads cross-functional efforts, and communicates effectively with both technical and business audiences. Candidates must be able to report in person to CRC's offices in Long Beach, Santa Clarita, or Bakersfield.
The base annual salary for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $120K - $170K, and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Responsibilities: - Serve as techno-functional SME across one or more EBS module areas (e.g., Financials, Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects), gathering business requirements and translating them into functional setups, configurations, and technical solutions.
- Design, build, and support customizations and extensions - RICEW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows), personalization, and OAF/Forms customizations.
- Maintain application configuration integrity across EBS modules, including responsibility, role, and menu setup required to support business processes.
- Support access and security configuration for EBS modules as part of ongoing functional support, including periodic reviews to help ensure setups align with business needs and internal controls.
- Lead and support techno-functional activities for Oracle EBS upgrades, including 12.1 to 12.2 upgrade/migration projects, patching, testing, and cloning.
- Partner with the Database Operations SME to coordinate patching, cloning, releases, and troubleshooting across the application and database layers.
- Configure and maintain EBS workflows, concurrent programs/managers, interfaces, and integrations with third-party or custom applications.
- Perform root-cause analysis and technical troubleshooting (SQL/PL-SQL, workflow, interfaces) for functional and technical application issues, serving as a key technical resource for resolving complex issues.
- Take initiative to identify functional or technical gaps in the applications environment and drive improvement initiatives independently. Lead cross-functional initiatives such as system consolidations, M&A application integrations, and process/functional improvements alongside business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain functional and technical documentation, configuration standards, and standard operating procedures for the applications environment.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, in writing and verbally, with technical teams, business users, and executive stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: - 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Techno-Functional Analyst and Applications Consultant supporting Oracle E-Business Suite in a production enterprise environment.
- Strong functional knowledge of one or more EBS module areas (e.g., GL, AP, AR, FA, PO, INV, OM, Projects) combined with strong technical skills (SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow, reports).
- Solid understanding of Oracle EBS 12.2 configuration, responsibilities, roles, and menu structures.
- Experience designing, building, or supporting RICEW objects and EBS customizations.
- Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and functional issues to varied audiences.
- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration with database, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Must be able to work on-site at one of CRC's California offices (Long Beach, Santa Clarita, or Bakersfield).
Preferred Qualifications: - Direct experience performing or supporting an Oracle EBS 12.1 to 12.2 upgrade.
- Familiarity with EBS technology stack components (WebLogic, Forms, Reports, OAF).
- Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) or Forms Personalization.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or other Oracle EBS-related certifications.
- Experience integrating EBS with third-party or custom applications.
- Experience in the oil & gas or energy industry.
