Step into a leadership role where your expertise drives both technical excellence and community impact. As Laboratory Lead in our Yellowknife office, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our Ground Engineering team, leading laboratory operations, and supporting the successful delivery of complex geotechnical projects in Northern Canada.
Your Impact
  • Lead day-to-day operations of the geotechnical laboratory, ensuring accurate, efficient, and high-quality testing and reporting
  • Drive continuous improvement and growth of laboratory capabilities and service offerings
  • Manage projects from proposal through completion, including budgets, schedules, and client relationships
  • Review and validate geotechnical test data and field reports to ensure compliance with industry and client standards
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Champion health, safety, and quality standards across all laboratory and field operations
The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 8-10 years of experience in geotechnical materials testing with demonstrated leadership and project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and CSA testing standards and procedures
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including budgets, schedules, client relationships, and technical delivery across laboratory and field environments
  • Valid Canadian driver's license and clean driver's abstract; ability to lift up to 25 kg and work in physically demanding environments
  • CCIL certifications and safety training (First Aid, WHMIS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance) considered assets

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
