We are looking for Senior Technical Training Instructor. This position will be based at Broken Arrow, OK
You'll make a difference by:

The Senior Technical Training Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering technical training for Field Service Engineers, company departments, and outside clients. This role requires strong field-service credibility, deep technical knowledge, and a proven record of teaching complex technical subjects in a practical, field-focused manner.
Responsibilities
  • Build and Develop training materials for Russelectric ATS, switchgear, PLC, SCADA, equipment modifications, basic safety, onboarding, and continuing development of Field Service Engineers.
  • Coordinates, documents, and provides regular technical training for field service employees, including hands-on instruction, virtual learning, equipment demonstrations, and scenario-based troubleshooting.
  • Uses field support trends, startup issues, warranty concerns, recurring technical questions, and leadership feedback to identify training needs and improve training content.
  • Builds engaging online training and practical exercises for Field Service, Sales, internal teams, and external customers.
  • Works closely with leadership, Field Service, FAST, Automation, Engineering, and Sales to keep training aligned with field and business needs.
  • Maintains training center equipment and ensures training assets remain accurate, functional, and representative of current field equipment.
  • Provides technical instruction related to power generation, ATS, switchgear, PLC, SCADA, communication systems, and customer field applications.
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Field Service Engineering experience or equivalent technical field experience.
  • Proven record of developing, delivering, or supporting technical training for field personnel, customers, or internal technical teams.
  • Strong proven understanding of power generation systems, automatic transfer switches, low-voltage switchgear, medium-voltage switchgear, PLC systems, SCADA systems, generator controls, and related field-service applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex paralleling systems, including synchronization, load sharing, generator controls, breaker control, transfer schemes, protective functions, and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of diesel generator controls, including engine governors, speed control, voltage regulation, excitation systems, protective relays, and generator control logic.
  • Experience troubleshooting automatic voltage regulators, governor control issues, synchronization problems, load-share issues, communication failures, breaker control issues, transfer issues, and system-level control problems.
  • Experience reading and interpreting schematics, control drawings, one-lines, sequence of operation documents, PLC logic, SCADA screens, I/O mapping, alarm logic, and customer user documentation.
  • Experience with common SCADA and PLC platforms, including Wonderware, WinCC, PME, and comparable industrial automation platforms preferred.
  • Strong background in electrical theory, power distribution, AC/DC circuits, voltage circuit theory, and hands-on solving.
  • Ability to relocate to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, or spend a minimum of 50% of working time in Broken Arrow.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
  • Travel 10%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience applying adult learning principles or instructional design practices in a technical training environment.
  • Experience creating interactive virtual learning, digital training modules, simulations, video-based instruction, or competency-based training.
  • Ability to build training that develops field judgment, not just memorization.
  • Prior military service or formal training in electrical theory, power systems, power generation, or related technologies.

The pay range for this position is $111K - $150K annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
