Position Overview:
Support the CIBC Mellon organization by providing technical expertise in support of application and/or infrastructure technology in a multi-platform, multi-vendor environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provides Level 1 technology support for all CIBC Mellon business applications, identifying and resolving low complexity technology issues. Focus will be on low complexity issues but may be required to work on medium complexity issues dependant on volume of work.
• Identifies root cause of technology issues and takes action to eliminate recurrance.
• Evaluates service/technology requests to ensure adherence to standards and processes, identifying inconsistencies, analyzing poential impact and taking appropriate action. Escalates more complex issues / concerns, along with alternative recommendations for resolution to next level.
• Monitors and analyzes supported applications and services to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
• Collaborates with other support resources in the development, maintaining, testing and implementing of new system modules, macros, scripts and ensuring they are in full compliance with corporate standards.
• Liaises directly with internal Information Technology employees and vendors, participates in departmental meetings/presentations and gives input into resolving technology issues and developing sustainable solutions.
• Maintains technology systems or components ensuring that functionality aligns to CIBC Mellon standards and business requirements.
• Supports project implementations (e.g. client conversions and onboarding) as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years Technology/Application Support Experience.
• Experience in generating reports/queries using standard tools.
• Basic understanding of the CIBC Mellon business and overall financial industry.
• Preferred experience/knowledge of custodian asset services such as fund accounting/recordkeeping/custody.
• General knowledge of CIBC Mellon business applications/systems.
• Based on business needs, this role requires the incumbent to be available during non-scheduled work hours.
Job Specific Competencies:
- The salary band for this position ranges between $70,000 - $110,000
- Individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, market conditions, relevant experience, education, training, and internal equity.
