The Opportunity at Komodo HealthThe Engineering and Product Operations team is the execution engine for Komodo's Technology and Product organization. We drive cross-functional execution across Product and Engineering, run planning across the org, and own the release and quality foundation that scales as Komodo grows.
This Senior TPM owns programs that span multiple teams and directly shape how and when new capabilities reach customers, with particular depth on the data platform that the entire product portfolio is built on, so the programs you run set the pace for everything downstream. You will lead initiatives end-to-end, run planning across the organization, and own release gating, partnering closely with Engineering Leads, Product Managers, and platform teams. Your impact will be felt across every milestone Komodo ships.
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished...- Led 2+ major programs end-to-end, on time, with clear milestones, exec-level visibility, and measurable outcomes.
- Delivered a major data platform initiative (new datasets, pipeline transformations, agentic delivery or data services) end-to-end, from planning through customer and downstream availability.
- Owned org-level planning cycles, turning strategy into sequenced, resourced roadmaps across teams.
- Established release gates and quality checkpoints that improved delivery reliability across the data platform.
- Earned trust as a strategic thought partner to Engineering Leads, PMs, and senior leadership.
- Reduced execution entropy by proactively resolving cross-team dependencies and blockers.
These are the essential job duties you will be responsible for ...- Lead complex programs end-to-end: scope, plan, sequence, deliver, and land measurable outcomes across multiple teams.
- Run planning for the org: drive quarterly and roadmap cycles, facilitate prioritization and resourcing tradeoffs, and align Engineering and Product on a single sequenced plan.
- Build and maintain program plans, timelines, risk registers, and dependency maps, and keep them current as programs evolve.
- Coordinate delivery of data platform capabilities (pipelines, datasets, data services, schema and data contract changes) across producing and consuming teams.
- Own release gating for the data platform, ensuring quality, lineage, and readiness criteria are met before ship.
- Drive cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, and platform teams at the senior leadership level.
- Represent program health, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to VP and senior leadership, and run the operating rhythms (standups, reviews, retros) that keep teams aligned.
- Shape how the team operates by introducing scalable planning, release, and program norms that extend beyond your own workstreams.
What you bring to Komodo Health (required):- Deep experience leading complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end in an engineering or product org.
- Track record owning org-level or multi-team planning cycles: roadmap planning, prioritization, resourcing, and dependency management, not just individual project execution.
- Experience working with healthcare data (claims, EHR/RWD, provider/patient identity, or coding systems like ICD/NDC/CPT) and the compliance considerations that come with it.
- A release-manager's instinct for gates and readiness reviews, including data quality gates, so nothing ships before it is ready.
- Strong technical fluency: able to engage substantively with data engineers on pipelines, schemas, lineage, and data contracts.
- Curiosity about how systems and data are built and where they break, rather than treating them as a black box.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions without direct authority.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, including executive-level reporting.
Expectations of AI Use in this role (required):- Expected to actively use AI tools to accelerate program planning, synthesize feedback from beta programs, generate status communications, and identify patterns across large datasets. Comfort with AI-assisted workflows is a baseline expectation for this role.
Additional skills and experience we'd prioritize (nice to have)...- Prior exposure to AI/ML cycles: model evaluation, data quality gates, iterative release patterns.
- Experience delivering data platform work: ingestion pipelines, data warehouses or lakes, data contracts, or data services.
- Working understanding of healthcare data and its sensitivities, or a track record of getting fluent in a complex data domain quickly.
- Prior experience at a high-growth or large-scale company where execution complexity required building new program infrastructure, not following existing playbooks.
