What You'll Do
  • Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Chewy's inbound planning capabilities, with a focus on automation, scalability, and science-based decision-making.
  • Own the technical products supporting the 13-week inbound planning process across Chewy's 13 core fulfillment centers.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and improve how inbound volume, labor, inventory, capacity, and operational constraints are planned across the fulfillment network.
  • Partner with engineering and data science teams to translate complex business and operational needs into clear product requirements, technical capabilities, and use cases.
  • Work alongside engineering and data science throughout the development lifecycle to scope, test, launch, and continuously improve inbound planning solutions.
  • Coordinate across Replenishment, Transportation, In Stock, and Fulfillment Center Operations teams, including both business and technology partners, to align roadmaps, manage dependencies, and ensure the broader product ecosystem works together effectively.
  • Build trust with stakeholders by using data to frame problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive clear and objective decisions.
  • Influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners to establish shared priorities and alignment on inbound planning strategies.
  • Define and track key performance indicators that measure planning quality, network health, operational efficiency, and product impact.
  • Develop clear product documentation, including vision documents, roadmaps, business requirements, user stories, and leadership updates.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early, establish mitigation plans, and communicate changes or tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends in supply chain planning, automation, optimization, and data science to inform product strategy and drive innovation.


What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager or in a comparable product role, owning and driving complex technical roadmaps from strategy through execution.
  • Demonstrated experience translating complex business and operational challenges into scalable technical products and clear requirements.
  • Proven ability to develop product vision documents, roadmaps, business requirements, user stories, epics, and use cases and to work effectively with agile development teams.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering and data science teams throughout product discovery, development, testing, launch, and iteration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to generate insights, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical and operational concepts for senior leaders and diverse cross-functional audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence without direct authority, and drive alignment across teams with competing priorities.
  • Experience managing dependencies across multiple products, systems, teams, and operational workflows.
  • Passion for building products that improve operational efficiency, decision quality, scalability, and customer outcomes.


Bonus
  • Experience building or managing supply chain planning, inbound logistics, inventory, transportation, labor planning, or fulfillment technology products.
  • Experience using SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI to analyze performance and support product decisions.
  • Familiarity with data science and optimization techniques, including forecasting, simulation, machine learning, and scheduling or network optimization algorithms.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud computing, and microservices architectures.
  • Experience developing products that replace manual planning processes with automated, data-driven decision-making.

The base salary range for this role is $141,000 - $225,000.00.
  • The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.

Exempt salary team members have unlimited PTO, subject to manager approval. Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
