This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Technical Manager,Electrical Engineer to join our Industrial Center of Excellence (CoE) team. This role can sit in multiple locations across the U.S.

Be involved in projects with our Property & Buildings - Industrial team and be part of a growing organization that delivers high-performance solutions for complex industrial facilities.

Your Impact
  • Serve as a senior technical leader delivering electrical engineering design for large-scale industrial projects (e.g., advanced manufacturing, food & beverage, mission-critical facilities).
  • Lead the design and oversight of electrical systems including:
    • Power distribution and generation systems
    • Emergency and backup systems
    • Lighting and life safety systems
    • Industrial controls and infrastructure systems
  • Provide technical direction and quality oversight for multi-disciplinary project teams across the Industrial CoE.
  • Act as a client-facing leader, developing and maintaining strong relationships and supporting business development efforts.
  • Lead and contribute to proposal development, scope definition, and project planning.
  • Oversee project delivery, including budgets, schedules, and coordination across engineering disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.) and WSP quality expectations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff to support career growth and technical excellence.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the Industrial CoE.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale commercial/mission-critical facilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and industry standards.
  • Experience with client engagement and business development strategies.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Industrial or Manufacturing Center of Excellence models.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, automation, and industrial controls.
  • Proficiency with Revit, BIM, and advanced design tools.
  • Multi-office or national project experience.
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading technical teams.

Compensation:

Expected Salary: $119,600 $187,000

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
