Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Analyst to support complex accounting, financial reporting, and policy matters for a global semiconductor and technology company. This role partners with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Engineering, IT, Operations, and external auditors to develop well-supported US GAAP conclusions and reliable reporting outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with external reporting process on drafting and filing high quality, complete, and accurate financial statements and the related disclosures in SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K) in compliance with U.S. GAAP and associated regulatory requirements including XBRL tagging.
  • Perform end-to-end financial statement filing process and timeline, including preparing thorough documentation of financial statement disclosures, assisting with GAAP and SEC reporting disclosure checklists, helping to address comments from the external auditors and legal counsel, senior management, disclosure committee, and audit committee.
  • Research and document complex accounting matters under US GAAP and develop clear, well-supported conclusions.
  • Support contract review to identify accounting implications, including recognition, measurement, classification, capitalization, and disclosure requirements.
  • Support statutory reporting for international legal entities.
  • Maintain a tracking file of new accounting pronouncement and assess the implication to existing business
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting policies, processes, systems, and reporting through standardized reviews, analysis, and automation.
  • Participate in special projects and other financial reporting initiatives as needed.


The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • 4 + years of progressive accounting experience, including technical accounting, financial reporting, and public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with SEC reporting and multinational statutory reporting requirements is a plus.
  • Public-company, Big Four, semiconductor, or technology-industry experience is highly preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, writing, communication, and project-management skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters to non-accounting stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Excel, including reconciliations, data analysis, and allocation models; experience with ERP (Oracle Fusion), contract-management, lease-accounting, or XBRL systems is a plus.
