Job title: Senior Tax Specialist, US Tax

Your opportunity

The U.S. Senior Tax Specialist will prepare complex US individual and corporation tax returns and provide technical support to and communicate with team members, clients, and their advisors.

Your major responsibilities
  • Prepare complex US individual and corporation tax returns and review simpler returns
  • Help manage workloads, deadlines, dockets and client relationships.


What we look for
  • Minimum 3 (three) years of US public accounting tax experience under supervision of US licensed CPA preferably with one firm.
  • State or provincial CPA designation or, demonstrated progress toward a state or provincial CPA designation AND completion of US Enrolled Agent (EA) designation program
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Able to work under the pressure of recurring monthly time deadlines
  • Ability to identify issues and develop answers through research of US federal and state tax laws using subscription-based libraries.
  • Good business judgment and the ability to think technically but work practically
  • Strong English communication skills both written and verbal
  • A team player with manager potential
