Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of the Corporate Tax Compliance/Transfer Pricing and Consulting for Divisions and Entities of Siemens in Canada. This is a highly visible and impactful role responsible for safeguarding Siemens Canada's tax position, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing tax risks, and supporting strategic business initiatives.
Responsibilities include:Tax Compliance & Reporting - Ensure timely filing of all corporate Canadian Provincial/Federal and US Federal/State returns tax returns for all Siemens entities in Canada.
- Ensure timely filing of all sales tax and VAT Tax returns both Canadian and Foreign for all Siemens entities in Canada.
- Ensure completion of Siemens Canada Limited's and affiliates quarterly and annual income tax provision within US, Canadian and German accounting principles.
Transfer Pricing & Tax Strategy - Update, analyze, maintain, and timely file transfer-pricing documentation, including benchmarking, for Siemens in Canada ensuring conformity with CRA's legislation.
- Review of tax filing positions and development of strategies to reduce taxes and cash outflows for all Siemens entities in Canada.
- Develop and implement detailed tax planning strategies to reduce tax cash outflow and ensure transactions / project and contracts are conducted in a tax effective manner.
- Working closely with Head of Tax, in M&A tax planning.
Business Advisory & Cross-Functional Support - Provide consulting services to all divisions of Siemens Canada Limited and other affiliates and provide advice and solutions to business problems encompassing income tax, accounting, legal, sales tax and general business issues.
- Coordinate with the divisions and affiliates to review sales and / project related contracts for legal, accounting, and tax minimization strategies.
Tax Audits & Risk Management - Manage and co-ordinate federal and provincial income tax and sales tax audits.
- Develop strategies to reduce income tax exposure for Siemens in Canada.
Location: Based out of our main head office located in Oakville, Ontario. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence 1-3 days/week.
What will you need to succeed?Education: - Post secondary education in Business Administration and Accounting designation
Experience; - 10 years of related experience; completion of Tax In-depth program (Part 1 and 2).
Technical Skills & Knowledge: - Working knowledge of related computer applications, including MS Office applications

[Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $120,000 CAD - $150,000 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus of 30% of base salary, based on Company performance metrics.]
