Full Job Description
Position Title: Senior Tax Manager

This is an opportunity to join a growing CPA firm where leadership is actively investing in the next generation of partners. You'll work directly with business owners, high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and estates while gaining exposure to complex tax planning opportunities that go far beyond compliance work. This role is highly client-facing and ideal for a relationship-driven tax professional who wants a clear growth path, meaningful mentorship opportunities, and the chance to eventually play a larger leadership role within the firm. Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a variety of compliance forms, including those for corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals, with a focus on efficiency and quality
  • Develop tax return workpapers and supporting schedules that adhere to professional standards
  • Analyze financial information, including balance sheets and income statements, during the tax preparation process
  • Identify accounting, business, and tax issues, providing solutions and recommendations
  • Conduct tax research and summarize findings in written form
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior tax accountants
  • Communicate recommendations clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Manage special projects as required
  • Commit to professional development through ongoing education and certification
  • Collaborate closely with partners to build skills necessary for account management responsibilities

Requirements:
  • 3-4+ years of experience working in a CPA firm
  • CPA or EA license
  • Experience with complicated business tax returns, including tax planning and real estate
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A CPA license is preferred
