  • Preparation of complex and/or specialty tax returns (e.g. deceased returns, multi-jurisdictional filings, treaty-based tax returns, filings for non-residents);
  • Completing a variety of specialty tax forms (e.g., T2057, T2054, T2062);
  • Communicating with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on behalf of our clients;
  • Preparing objections and voluntary disclosures;
  • Analysis and completion of corporate, personal, partnership, and trust income tax returns;
  • Year-end tax planning analysis;
  • Attend weekly tax group meetings.

Qualifications
  • Possess a recently acquired Canadian accounting designation (CPA)
  • Enrollment in the CPA In-depth tax program
  • Experience with owner-managed businesses is considered an asset
  • Have a keen interest and desire to work in Canadian personal and corporate tax
  • Experience using TaxPrep (Personal, Corporate, Trust, and Forms) is desirable
  • Demonstrate well-developed analytical and research skills, together with attention to detail
  • Be committed to providing exceptional client service
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, work independently and as part of a team
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
  • Well-organized and able to balance competing demands

  • 2 additional paid days during the winter holidays
  • 8 personal days in addition to vacation time
  • 2:00 p.m. closure on Fridays before every long weekend
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and accident insurance, and educational assistance
  • Professional development training, coaching, and support
  • Advancement opportunities due to firm growth
  • "Dress for your day" flexibility
