Job Description 64 Senior Indirect Tax Analyst

Mission of the Role:
The Senior Indirect Tax Analyst is responsible for managing sales and use tax compliance for Apex Service Partners and its entities. This role ensures all indirect tax obligations are completed accurately, timely, and efficiently, while supporting broader tax functions such as audits, system and process improvements, and responding to tax notices.

Responsibilities:
64 Manage end-to-end sales and use tax compliance, including preparation and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns
64 Establish and maintain indirect tax accounts for new acquisitions, entities, and jurisdictions
64 Update and maintain tax accounts to reflect legal entity changes in partnership with the Legal team
64 Collaborate with accounting and business teams to collect, validate, and analyze tax data
64 Research and resolve tax notices, discrepancies, and compliance issues
64 Ensure timely processing of tax-related invoices, renewals, and payments
64 Conduct research on indirect tax requirements for new locations and acquisitions to ensure compliance
64 Support the implementation and enhancement of tax systems and processes
64 Support sales and use tax audit readiness by gathering necessary data, maintaining well-organized documentation, and assisting with auditor requests and inquiries
64 Contribute to team initiatives and support additional tax-related projects as needed

Qualifications & Experience:
64
64 5+ years of indirect tax experience with a degree in Accounting or Finance (CMI preferred) and knowledge (or willingness to learn) indirect tax rules
64 Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret, reconcile, and draw insights from tax data
64 Effective communicator who can simplify complex financial concepts and confidently engage with cross-functional teams and senior leaders
64 Self-motivated, high-energy, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and take ownership
64 Collaborative team player who can lead or support change and work well in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
64 Resourceful and process-oriented, with the ability to build and improve systems using best practices
