SUMMARY

The Senior Talent Development Partner is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the credit union's learning ecosystem. Reporting to the VP of Learning and Development, this role focuses on creating scalable, high-impact training solutions that support employee performance, elevate the member experience, and align with Mirastar's values and service philosophy. This position serves as a subject matter expert in learning management systems, instructional design, and learning strategy, partnering across departments to deliver innovative, compliant, and member-centric training programs. While not responsible for direct people management, the Senior Talent Development Partner leads through influence, project ownership, and expertise. This role operates as a highly collaborative individual contributor within the Talent team. The Senior Talent Development Partner is expected to balance hands-on execution, managing projects, systems, and processes that support employee success and enhance the member experience. Occasional travel may be required to support in-branch or in-person training initiatives.

  • Education and/or Experience: BA degree in training, adult education, curriculum development, organizational development, or a related field, 5-7 years' experience with a minimum of four years of experience delivering hands-on and virtual training programs. Experience working with Credit Unions is desirable.

  • Geographical Location: This position may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Individuals working in this position must be located within the state of California.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide learning solutions that align with Mirastar's mission, values, and strategic priorities
  • Develop engaging training programs that strengthen member service, product knowledge, and operational excellence across the organization
  • Partner with business units to assess needs, identify performance gaps, and develop targeted learning solutions
  • Enhance onboarding programs that reflect Mirastar's culture and set employees up for success
  • Develop and maintain curriculum across key areas, including member service, consumer and real estate lending, systems training, and compliance
  • Ensure all training content aligns with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA/AML, Fair Lending), internal policies, and role specifications
  • Establish and maintain instructional design standards, templates, and best practices for consistency and scalability
  • Manage and optimize multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related technologies, including course deployment, tracking, and reporting
  • Support organizational projects, including system implementations, content rollouts, and process improvements
  • Measure and evaluate training effectiveness using data, feedback, and performance metrics; recommend and implement enhancements
  • Support organizational change initiatives by developing training that enables the smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and products
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to stakeholders, providing guidance on training approaches and learning solutions
  • Prepare metrics and reports as requested by management
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to design department-specific learning modules to enhance skill levels
  • Support training activities and outside training consultants
  • Manage all logistical aspects for various training programs: coordinate/communicate with participants, presenters, and managers, send out calendar reminders, update internal Master Training Calendar, prepare agendas/packets; when applicable: order refreshments/meals, set up meeting space, check equipment, etc.
  • Create/support other software training for CU staff (e.g., soft/technical skills training)
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training industry trends, developments, and best practices
  • Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act, including but not limited to reporting suspicious activities to supervisor and BSA Officer.
