DescriptionSenior Talent Acquisition PartnerPosition DescriptionCushing Terrell is hiring a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to lead full-cycle recruiting for senior-level, leadership, and hard-to-fill positions across our architecture, engineering, and design practice. This full-time role supports hiring managers and firm leaders in all Cushing Terrell offices, with a focus on licensed professionals and roles that call for targeted passive candidate sourcing.
What does this role involve day to day? You will advise hiring managers and senior leaders on search strategy, role calibration, and candidate profiles, then build talent maps and pipelines to reach passive candidates who are not actively looking. You will extend and negotiate offers within approved ranges in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager, coach hiring teams on structured interviewing, mentor Talent Acquisition Partners, and support the firm's early career and internship programs.
What will you shape? This role helps a growing architecture and engineering firm attract the senior talent it needs. You will help develop employer branding and recruitment marketing for leadership hires, recommend improvements to our talent acquisition practices, including the responsible use of AI-assisted recruiting tools, and report on time to fill, pipeline health, and offer acceptance.
Position Salary Range*The expected salary range for this position is
$100,000 to $130,000 annually.
Required Qualifications**- 10+ years of progressive experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources, including significant experience recruiting for senior-level and leadership positions
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or a related field
- Expert knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, including advanced passive candidate sourcing, talent mapping, and pipeline development
- Proven offer negotiation and candidate closing skills
- Proficiency with Jobvite, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Smart Sourcing, or similar sourcing platforms, plus Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- Thorough knowledge of employment law, interview regulations, and hiring compliance
- Strong consultative, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to build credibility with senior leaders and handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications**- Experience recruiting within architecture, engineering, construction, or professional services firms
- Knowledge of architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) licensure and credentialing pathways, such as PE (Professional Engineer), RA (Registered Architect), NCARB, and LEED
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
- Recruiting or talent acquisition certifications, such as AIRS or LinkedIn Recruiter
- Experience using AI-assisted recruiting tools for sourcing, outreach, and market research, in line with firm policy and applicable regulations
- Experience mentoring or coaching other recruiters
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and Adobe Suite

Position Responsibilities***- Lead full-cycle recruitment for senior-level, leadership, licensed, and hard-to-fill positions across all Cushing Terrell offices, including confidential searches in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager
- Advise hiring managers and senior leaders on intake, role calibration, candidate profiles, and search strategy, backed by market insight on talent availability, the competitive landscape, and candidate expectations
- Source and engage passive candidates, building talent maps and pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Smart Sourcing, and similar platforms
- Coach hiring teams on structured interview and assessment approaches to improve hiring decisions and candidate experience
- Extend offers and negotiate within approved ranges, then guide new hires through onboarding and resolve pre-start concerns in partnership with HR
- Mentor Talent Acquisition Partners on sourcing strategy, senior search practices, and candidate engagement, and support the firm's early career and internship programs
- Track and report time to fill, pipeline health, and offer acceptance, and recommend improvements to talent acquisition practices, including the responsible use of AI-assisted tools
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager on employer branding and recruitment marketing for senior talent, and coordinate external agency submittals on assigned searches
Things to Note*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
