Senior Systems Engineer to support our customer at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center in San Antonio, TX. This is an exciting newly won initiative supporting Offensive Cyber Operations and deploying a DevSecOps platform in multiple cloud environments. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.
Position Description (what you will do)- Designing, developing, and integrating complex systems within hybrid or multi-cloud environments
- Leading systems engineering efforts to define requirements, conduct trade studies, and develop technical specifications
- Managing system life cycles including development, testing, deployment, and sustainment phases
- Supporting Agile teams by aligning system design with iterative development practices
- Automating infrastructure and development tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies
- Developing and deploying containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software, network, and security engineers to deliver integrated solutions
Requirements: (5+ years of experience in the following areas)- System architecture and integration for large scale, distributed systems
- Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions
- Networking concepts, including virtual private cloud (VPC), load balancing, and DNS management
- Security best practices for systems engineering, including implementation of RBAC, encryption, and compliance with standards like NIST or RMF
- Monitoring and optimizing system performance using tools like Prometheus, Splunk, or Grafana
- Developing custom scripts and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, CS, or equivalent
