Full Job Description
In this role, you will support and deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers. You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation (product) by designing, testing and validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications. A successful candidate will have a broad background in mechanical engineering and computer science, as well as the ability to work closely with electrical, materials, and manufacturing functions. Key Responsibilities 34; Responsible for supporting numeric evaluation of product design, integration, and qualification activities for new inertial navigation products for internal R&D and customer funded programs 34; Calibration of inertial sensors and inertial systems 34; Evaluation of sensor & system performance - ex: reading and understanding Root Alan Variance (RAV) 34; Support trade studies and issue resolution (e.g. FMEA, RCCA) activities 34; Prepare technical documentation for review by senior technical staff 34; Communicate technical status to manager, senior technical staff, and external customers 34; Support the needs of internal stakeholders 34; Contribute to design team meetings (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA, TIMs) 34; Support customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development 34; Support system documents development, including but not limited to system-level requirements, Interface Control Document, Hardware Requirements Specification, Performance Verification Test Plan Procedure, Certification documents 34; Support proposal efforts, including development of BOEs 34; Perform simulations, data analysis, define test procedures, and review results to determine compliance requirements Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE 34; Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics 34; 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and engineering management 34; Mastery of knowledge in systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting with a thorough understanding of multiple workstreams 34; 2+ years' experience with inertial instruments 34; 3+ years professional experience or 2+ years with advanced degree in engineering/science 34; Must have ability to obtain a secret clearance WE VALUE 34; Masters or PhD 34; Advanced Engineering degrees like EE (Electrical Engineering), ME (Mechanical Engineering) 34; Demonstrated experience with test system integration for high precision inertial sensors/IMU 34; Demonstrated experience with inertial sensor/IMU requirements and associated qualification procedures 34; Experience with numerical data analysis, regression and curve fitting 34; Experience with Matlab, Creo, SolidWorks, and MathCAD 34; Familiar with Six Sigma Methods, with Black Belt training preferred 34; Experience in leading complex system integration projects 34; Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies 34; Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 34; Passion for innovation and continuous learning 34; Attention to detail 34; Excellent problem-solving capability Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization. The annual base salary range for this position is $133,000 - $167,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
