As an Electro‑Optical Test Engineer, you will design, develop, and execute test plans for EO systems and components, focusing on evaluating performance, quality, and reliability in both laboratory and production environments. You will analyze test data, troubleshoot technical issues, prepare clear reports, and collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to ensure products meet all requirements and standards.

This position plays a key role in integration, testing, and issue resolution across multidisciplinary teams. You will work both independently and collaboratively, applying your technical expertise to make informed decisions that drive successful project outcomes. The role offers exposure to multiple aspects of system design and operation, providing a broad, system‑level perspective and the opportunity to help ensure all components operate together seamlessly.  This is an onsite position at Raytheon in McKinney, Texas.

  • Support system performance analysis, integration, and testing activities
  • Conduct testing of optical, electrical, and integrated systems; collect and analyze test data to support performance optimization
  • Identify and resolve issues during testing, support design updates, troubleshooting, and calibration for ongoing and specialized programs

  • Document test results and prepare comprehensive test reports for stakeholders
  • Analyze system behavior and define use cases
  • Provide engineering support for execution of assigned test program activities, including test processes, baseline definition, and test architecture development
  •  Participate in technical reviews and technical interchange meetings

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience supporting systems engineering on a government contract
  • MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages
  • Digital engineering tools such as DOORS/DNG, Rhapsody, Cameo, or similar
  • System integration and verification tasks in an integration lab, test facility, or field environment
  • Experience leading or coordinating test events
  • Conduct Monte Carlo simulations for system modeling or analysis
  • Perform root‑cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and documenting preventative actions
  • Agile‑related systems engineering activities (e.g., Scrum ceremonies, Agile tools)
