The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Systems Analyst-Programmer. This promotional / open opportunity is open to all interested candidates.

OVERVIEW:

San Diego Unified School District, the second largest district in California and one of the top largest urban school districts in the United States, is looking for professionals who care deeply for students and are committed to the communities in which they serve.

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Senior Systems Analyst-Programmer will perform a variety of complex duties in the analysis, design, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance of the district's administrative, data and instructional support systems. Provide district departments and personnel with information technology and procedural solutions to support specific functionality requirements.

VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS:
  • Working Location: Integrated Technology Division 4100 Normal Street, San Diego, CA 92103
  • Work Schedule: 12 months per year / 40 hours per week.

  • Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

Any combination of education, experience, and/or training equivalent to graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or directly related field and four years of recent, progressively responsible experience in systems development and programming of major applications. Recent experience with and in-depth understanding of modern development platforms and enterprise-wide administrative and/or instructional support systems is required.
