Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and design of enterprise systems. Ensure infrastructure scalability, high availability, and performance. Contribute to strategic planning and technology roadmaps by researching, evaluating, and recommending future-state improvements.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of infrastructure and systems-related IT projects, including planning, cross-departmental coordination, and risk management assessment to deliver within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Proactively tests and maintains system hardening, encryption, disaster recovery, and patching strategies and enforces security standards.
  • Design/architect and implement backup and recovery strategies that ensure compliance with DR/BCP plans.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical system issues. Conduct root cause analysis and long-term remediation. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement proactive tuning and optimization.
  • Directly supervises System Administrator, and provides leadership and guidance to junior staff members, ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices

Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and 8 years' experience.
  • Knowledge of desktop and server operating systems such as Microsoft, Linux, and Mac OS within an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products.
  • Knowledge of Endpoint Management architecture, configuration, and administration.
  • Knowledge and experience regarding infrastructure monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of desktop and server hardware, software, and virtualization utilizing VMware.
  • Knowledge of backup/disaster recovery hardware, software, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Active Directory & related technologies (DNS, Group Policies, etc.).
  • Knowledge of various methods and approaches to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of mobile devices and their configuration/management within an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of Windows Autopilot deployment and endpoint provisioning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure services including Azure Virtual Machines, storage accounts, networking, and monitoring.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to participate in setting strategic environment goals.
  • Ability to train users in applications and operating system fundamentals and to write basic documentation.
  • Ability to establish processes and automate them to track and implement system solutions.
  • AZ-104 and VMware certifications are preferred.


Hiring Rate: $91, 937 - 112, 000 (this exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary)
