Position OverviewThe Senior Systems Administrator serves as the Bank's primary Level 3 technical resource by being responsible for enterprise systems administration, advanced troubleshooting, project implementation, vendor coordination, and technical mentorship across Microsoft 365, identity, server, and related technologies, while maintaining strong documentation, change management, security, and service quality standards.
Essential Job Functions- Administer, configure, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, system software, security configurations, user access, and other related technologies and systems.
- Serve as the primary Level 3 escalation resource by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues across identity, endpoints, applications, servers, cloud services, and security controls, including root-cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
- Monitor and analyze systems, logs, alerts, events, and technical trends to identify service-impacting conditions, recurring issues, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide advanced support and administration for hosted and server-based applications, secure file transfer solutions, endpoint technologies, branch systems, connectivity services, authentication platforms, and technology deployments.
- Lead and support technology projects, including planning, integration, testing, and implementation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, configuration records, troubleshooting resources, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, information security, audit, risk management, change management, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience activities.
- Identify and Implement improvements to technical processes, automation, system reliability, operational efficiency, and end-user adoption of enterprise technologies.
- Mentor support staff while promoting cross-training across the team.
- Serve as the primary liaison with managed service providers and technology vendors.
- Assist individuals to get maximum usefulness from enterprise technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Background- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, and other related technologies in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Strong experience analyzing Windows, Microsoft 365, identity, applications, servers, networking, cloud services, and security controls.
- Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting and automation tools for administration, diagnostics, and process improvement.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint administration.
- Experience working with managed service providers and technology vendors.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to mentor technical staff and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with secure file transfer technologies, enterprise application integrations, and financial services or other regulated environments preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or closely related field and/or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of progressive professional information technology experience, including enterprise systems administration and advanced technical troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and Windows Server administration.
- Experience working in a Bank environment or other regulated industry preferred.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse realm of customers, employees, vendors, and management effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to independently analyze unfamiliar technical issues, exercise sound judgment, and determine appropriate resolution or escalation.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is in regular communication, is required to use various tools or objects, and have the mobility to move about the office. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position that may require long hours or occasional weekend work.
TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although occasional out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Employee must possess a valid driver's license and transportation to visit client sites and other branches.
