Responsibilities

  • Create and analyze input data in SAP to prepare forecast and capacity utilization reports.
  • Collaborate with business units to optimize production schedules and plans.
  • Assess the impact of supply chain variables, prepare status reports, and support senior management decision making.
  • Ensure the timely shipment of finished products in line with customer orders and inventory policies.
  • Maintain and develop departmental procedures in adherence to cGMP standards.
  • Implement LEAN tools and foster continuous improvement in logistic and planning processes.
  • Train and support supply chain and logistics personnel on SAP workflows while acting as a backup for the Senior Supply Chain Analyst.

About the Department

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk's 50,000 employees.

FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. FF Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.

The Position

Responsible for integrating supply chain planning and production planning to ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities include aligning both long-and-short term production plans with external customer needs and production line capacities, ensuring material availability for production, continuously improving logistic processes, maintaining plans in SAP, and serving as the Supply Chain lead.

Relationships

Reports to Manager or Senior Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Create & analyze input data to prepare forecast & capacity utilization reports in SAP
  • Collaborate closely with Line of Business (LoB) to optimize schedules & production plans
  • Analyze impact of changes to input variables affecting Supply Chain processes. Prepare & present Supply Chain status reports & analysis enabling Senior Management decision making
  • Ensure planned shipment of finished products to external customers according to customer order dates or inventory policies
  • Maintain & develop department procedures according to cGMP's
  • Ensure effective communication with internal & external stakeholders
  • Provide consistent & stable demand for raw materials from suppliers by effective & efficient planning & communication to ensure availability of the right materials at the right time
  • Continuously improve supply chain management processes
  • Implement LEAN tools & Flow in the plant proactively; show a LEAN mindset
  • Create supply chain process transparency through high quality communication
  • Act as the backup for the site Sr Supply Chain Analyst - Master Data
  • Provide training, support, and coaching to Supply Chain Planners, Material Planners, and Logistics personnel on SAP and related workflows
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Other duties, as assigned


Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.)

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field of study from an accredited university, required
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain Management, production planning or related field, required
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills; good presentation skills, preferred
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel & material management systems, required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience planning in SAP APO & ECC, required
  • Experience implementing SAP, a plus
  • Proven process improvement & problem-solving skills, preferred
  • Experience in LEAN Manufacturing environment including implementation of lean practices, a plus
  • Demonstrated understanding & capability in scheduling of multiple lines/multiple planning areas, required
  • Able to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets, preferred
