Full Job Description
You'll design and optimize the global network that connects procurement to fulfillment, turning siloed supply chains into an integrated system that delivers at continental scale.

This is not a traditional category management role. You will own the integration layer across Amazon's non-inventory supply chain - applying Lean Six Sigma methodology to network architecture, building the financial models that justify expansion, and partnering with senior leaders across operations, finance, and logistics to sell the vision of end-to-end supply chain optimization.

What you'll do:

Design and prove an integrated distribution model across multiple supply chain pillars and geographies

Reset and own strategic relationships with senior finance, operations, and logistics stakeholders

Apply value stream mapping and network optimization to identify savings at intersection points others miss

Leverage cross-organizational resources to accelerate integration without incremental headcount

Build the business case and relationships that shape the team's next strategic expansion

This role is for someone who thinks in systems, influences through data, and builds through relationships. You'll operate at the intersection of strategy and execution - close enough to the supply chain to understand the details, senior enough to move the decisions.

Key job responsibilities

- Design and own the end-to-end network integration model across Amazon's non-inventory supply chain - identifying where distribution flows intersect across categories and geographies, and proving that integrated operations deliver more value than siloed approaches

- Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior finance, operations, and logistics leaders - serving as the first point of engagement when complex cross-functional issues require resolution at senior manager level and above

- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodology and value stream mapping to optimize supply chain architecture, identify savings at intersection points, and build financial models that justify network expansion

- Develop strategies to leverage cross-organizational resources and shared services capacity to accelerate integration work without incremental headcount investment

- Build and present the business case for supply chain network evolution to senior leadership - translating operational data into strategic narratives that secure alignment and funding for future scope expansion

A day in the life

Your morning might start with a working session alongside finance leaders, rebuilding a cost model that proves the value of integrated distribution. After lunch, you're mapping material flows across three overlapping supply chains to find the intersection nobody else has spotted. Later, you're coaching a category lead through a supplier escalation, then jumping into a leadership review where you present how network optimization unlocked savings this quarter. You're the person connecting dots across the organization - equal parts strategist, relationship builder, and supply chain engineer. No two weeks look the same.

About the team

We manage how Amazon's non-inventory supplies - packaging, pallets, grocery packaging and raw materials- flow from manufacturers to fulfillment centers globally. Our team operates as a supply chain integrator: we don't just buy things, we design end-to-end distribution systems across continents. You'll join a team of seven category managers and supply chain strategists, each owning distinct pillars that together form an interconnected network. Our internal customers are operations, grocery, and logistics teams who depend on us to keep supplies moving. We value systems thinking, intellectual honesty, and building sustainable solutions over quick fixes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree, or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field

- 7+ years of supply chain, logistics, or procurement experience

- 3+ years of experience applying Lean Six Sigma, value stream mapping, or continuous improvement methodologies in supply chain or operations environments

- 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional programs involving senior stakeholders (senior manager level and above) across multiple business units

- Experience with network design, distribution optimization, or multi-node supply chain architecture

- Experience building and presenting business cases to senior leadership (Director level and above) to secure funding or strategic alignment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Lean-Six Sigma Black Belt certification

- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday), or experience working with Excel, reporting tools, and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau
