Opportunity OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced technology services strategist to serve as a senior individual contributor and trusted advisor to senior technology leadership. This role is responsible for helping shape the future of Edward Jones Digital workforce, technology services, evaluating emerging service delivery models, monitoring market trends, and ensuring the organization remains aligned with leading industry practices.
The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in technology services, managed services, vendor ecosystems, sourcing strategies, operating models, and commercial structures. They will provide thought leadership and actionable recommendations that help the organization optimize technology investments, workforce strategies, accelerate innovation, improve service outcomes, and maintain a competitive advantage. Through strong governance, industry insights, and collaboration, you will help create a resilient, scalable, and future-ready technology ecosystem that delivers measurable business value.
The Opportunity:- Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on industry technology vendor trends and service delivery models.
- Continuously assess industry trends, market evolution, emerging capabilities, and leading practices across global technology services providers.
- Develop forward-looking technology workforce and service strategies that align with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and long-term operational goals.
- Provide thought leadership on future-state operating models, including managed services, outcome-based delivery, platform-enabled services, global delivery models, and emerging service ecosystems.
What You Will Do: - Serve as a trusted advisor to Digital and business leaders on technology partner strategy, ecosystem design, workforce modernization, and technology investment priorities.
- Develop and refine technology workforce and service strategies across existing and emerging technology domains in partnership with cross-functional organizations.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality, operational resilience, scalability, flexibility, and cost effectiveness.
- Guide workforce and operating model transformations, including managed services, business process outsourcing, and capability modernization initiatives.
- Orchestrate collaboration across Architecture, Engineering, Product, Sourcing, Legal, HR, Compliance, Finance, Third-Party Risk, Global Delivery Capabilities, and Technology leadership to align partner capabilities with strategic objectives.
Position RequirementsWhat Experience You Need:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Extensive experience leading technology partner ecosystems across third party workforce services, outsourcing providers, cloud, software, infrastructure, and AI.
- Proven success delivering large-scale third-party workforce and technology transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of sourcing, supplier governance, strategic Technology service providers, and technology ecosystem.
- Staying current on emerging technologies, market trends, and innovation opportunities to inform enterprise strategy.
- Deep understanding of complex commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, managed services, and strategic partnership frameworks.
- Experience leading workforce transformation, operating model modernization, and outsourced service delivery strategies.
- Strong financial and business acumen, including value realization, investment analysis, and performance management.
- Ability to influence senior executives and align diverse stakeholder groups around strategic outcomes through storytelling.
- Up to 10% travel.
