Full Job Description
The Senior Supervisor, Custodial Services will manage the daily activities of the custodial team and monitor back and front of house operations during all events. The position's focus is on facility maintenance and operations and the oversight of the event driven staff. The Senior Supervisor will also be responsible for attending company led training sessions and disseminating the curriculum from these trainings down to the line level staff. The Senior Supervisor will be required to train, evaluate and coach front line colleagues based on these curriculums, and will track the completion rates to ensure that all front line staff are receiving the trainings in a timely manner. What will you do? Custodial Services: • Plan and organize responsibilities for event days for custodial team. • Coordinate pre-event clean, maintain custodial operations during the event and handle post event cleaning operations. • Partner with internal departments to coordinate custodial work order via 24/7 Software system and urgent email requests. • Consistently ensure that all public-facing areas maintain a pristine presentation, working alongside event management for performance-ready spaces. • Evaluate and constantly improve the quality of cleanliness and overall appearance, ensuring that the highest client satisfaction and guest experience are achieved. • Will be highly responsive to custodial emergencies in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. • May be responsible for interviewing candidates for open positions and make recommendations for hire. • Conduct pre-shift meetings with team scheduled to educate on the event highlights, areas of focus and staff responsibilities. • Focus on event based staff, including oversight of custodians and restroom attendants, to ensure restrooms are stocked and cleaned, staff are productive and attending to all custodial needs to improve the guest experience. • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site. Training: • Lead continuous education and development for all team members on the custodial team • Assess, train, evaluate, and coach front line colleagues utilizing previous experience and company provided programs. Trainers will conduct "on the spot" training during shifts 2 - 3 times/week, depending on event schedule. • Responsible for the onboarding of team members through the department onboarding curriculum. • Senior Supervisors will be responsible for tracking the completion rates of personnel trained for each training program. • Assistance with other company projects, initiatives, and training as needed (Ex. Workforce updates, Policy acknowledgments and other company assigned learning, 24/7) and performs other duties as assigned. What do you need to succeed? • At least 3-5 years of supervisory experience in facility management. • Detail-oriented and able to work on multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, event driven environment. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the visual elegance of a renowned performance space • Ability to develop good working relationships with all levels of management • Proven conflict resolution experience. • Commitment to providing a high-quality service experience for both internal and external clients. • Strong experience in supervising cleaning teams and proven leadership skills essential. • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and time management skills. • Computer proficient with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Special Requirements • Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures as needed. • Must be comfortable with heights (working on high floors) and navigating steep steps and inclines. • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and to push/pull up to 75 lbs. • Ability to stand and move about the venue throughout the duration of the shift. • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment. #LI- Onsite Hourly Pay Range $37-$40 USD At MSG, we recognize the importance of upskilling employees' talents and strengths so they can drive their careers forward.
