Full Job Description
What you will do:

  • Lead Radio Sub-System Design activities across the complete product lifecycle
  • Own and maintain Radio Sub-System requirements, design specifications, and technical documentation
  • Perform product-level allocation of requirements, performance targets, and system capabilities across hardware and software subsystems
  • Analyze system trade-offs and ensure end-to-end product performance objectives are achievable
  • Participate in early-phase studies, pre-development activities, product concept evaluations, and technical assessments
  • Support project execution through milestone reviews, technical forums, and design decision processes
  • Collaborate with architecture, hardware, performance, verification, and integration teams to develop aligned technical solutions
  • Drive issue resolution, technical risk management, and requirement clarification throughout development
  • Support system baseline management, change control activities, and product release readiness
  • Support hardware and software teams during implementation, integration, verification, and troubleshooting
  • Provide technical leadership within cross-functional and multi-site development teams
  • Champion continuous improvement of engineering processes, methods, tools, and ways of working


The skills you bring:

Required
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in product development, systems engineering, or subsystem design
  • Experience translating customer, business, or system requirements into technical subsystem solutions
  • Experience performing requirement allocation and system decomposition across multiple technical domains
  • Ability to analyze technical trade-offs involving performance, cost, complexity, quality, and delivery timelines
  • Experience working within cross-functional product development organizations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and contribute to decisions collaboratively
  • Solid understanding of RF HW design, complex telecommunications or embedded systems

Preferred
  • Experience with radio products, Massive MIMO, distributed radio systems, or wireless infrastructure
  • Experience with hardware/software co-design
  • Understanding of performance engineering, capacity analysis, or product optimization
  • Familiarity with requirements management and systems engineering tools such as DOORS NG, JIRA, Confluence, NR/LTE radio access technologies, 3GPP standards for Base Station radio TX and RX, or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting design reviews, milestone governance, or product readiness activities
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle processes within telecommunications product development
  • Experience working in geographically distributed teams
  • Experience with engineering tools MHWeb and PiWeb

Your Pay
The salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.

The salary range for this position is

• LOCATION: $101,500.00 - $133,350.00

Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit's objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Financial Security

Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 18 days of accrued vacation, plus at least 3 personal days, minimum 10 holidays, 1 volunteer day, and sick days. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee's start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 10 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
