Full Job Description
In the role of Senior Structural Inspector, we'll count on you to:
• Perform Quality Assurance oversight for the construction of docks, wharfs, bridges, and structural components in marine environments and remote locations.
• Monitor pile driving operations for contract compliance and quality assurance.
• Monitor welding procedures and bolting procedures for quality assurance compliance.
• Monitor coating applications in field for contract conformance and quality assurance.
• Mentor junior field staff and provide supervision as needed
• Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents
• Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses
• Serve as the most senior inspector on projects as needed
• Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
• Certifications: Current or former CWI or NACE I/II or ability to certify upon hire
• Technical school or associate degree
• Ability to interpret construction schedules
• Ability to obtain a TWIC for access to the Port of Alaska
• Willingness to travel to remote Alaska for extended periods of time
• Comfortable with man-camp living conditions
• Willing to work overtime hours during construction season with limited time off
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.

Required Qualifications
• Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Candidates with 8 years of relevant construction inspection experience may substitute experience for a high school diploma)
• A minimum of 5 years experience
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
