We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our specialized team focused on hydroelectric facilities and dam engineering. The successful candidate will participate in multidisciplinary projects with leading industry stakeholders and benefit from a flexible hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work and office presence
Key Responsibilities
Technical leadership, Project management, Business development and client relationship building
Technical coordination and project management across disciplines
Design and rehabilitation of hydroelectric stations
Engineering of hydraulic structures (buildings, dams, spillways, gate lifting mechanisms, intakes, etc.)
Structural and Stability calculations
Feasibility studies, preliminary designs, details designs and technical assessments
Dam safety reviews and risk assessments
Inspections of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric facilities
Preparation of technical drawings and specifications
Analysis of construction methods and cost estimation
Technical support during construction, both remotely and on-site
Collaboration with engineering and technical teams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
Post Graduate degree is an asset
Minimum 15 years of experience in design, construction and project management of dams and hydroelectric projects
Membership - Professional Engineer Ontario (PEO)
Experience is seismic engineering and dynamic analysis of structures is an asset
Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Versatility and interest in diverse engineering projects
Autonomy, initiative, and strong teamwork skills
Be able to do site visits and traveling (20%)
