Osborn Engineering is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 10-20 years of experiences for our Tampa, Orlando, and/or St. Pete, FL office location who will report to the Manager of Structural Engineering. The ideal candidate would have extensive structural engineering experience in a consulting engineering environment working with private and public sector clients.
Position Responsibilities- Supervise staff or self-perform the following:
- Design of new building structures as well as structural alterations, renovations, and additions to existing buildings
- Preparation of structural integrity and assessment reports
- Design and detailing of structure including calculations and computer modeling, for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.
- Manage and Coordinate projects with clients and other disciplines.
- Collaborate with Senior engineers to assemble structural work products.
- Prepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings and attend coordination meetings.
- Perform site reviews and construction administration services during the construction phase.
- Review designs prepared by others as part of Osborn's QA/QC process.
- Attend meetings with clients, authorities having jurisdiction, and other professionals as projects require.
- Work planning and manage the design process to the available hours in the work plan.
- Project and Client management.
- Prepare proposals and administer project contracts, including Add Service Agreements.
Job Requirements/Qualifications- 10 - 20 years of Structural Design Experience in Consulting Engineering
- PE license preferred or ability to obtain licensure
- SE License preferred.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as REVIT, RISA 3D, RISA Floor, ADAPT.
- Designing post-tension structures is a requirement
- Proficient Knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices.
- Proficient Knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues.
- Experience in designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects.
- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's in Structural or Civil engineering.
