Our Americas Distribution Services Division (ADSD) provides governance and administration of Cat® dealers across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.

As the Senior Strategy Consultant, you will lead the development and execution of the mid to long-term business development strategy with business partners.

What You Will Do:
  • Leads cross-functional collaboration with business partners across the organization and outside consultants to gain industry trends and collect voice of the customer and voice of the business to propose ideas for business growth.
  • Planning and directing all projects viewed as critical to department and the enterprise
  • Collaborating with clients on using a disciplined project management approach and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities
  • Requires broad experience in Project Management tools and processes, and ability to: facilitate projects, lead chartering sessions, lead integration and compression sessions
  • Designing, establishing and monitoring the organization's project management goals

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Strong project management experience
  • Previous dealer or distribution experience
  • Relative industry experience
  • Business development background, especially mergers and acquisitions exposure

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
