We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support mining operations in Timmins,
ON., on a
full-time basis. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role leads end-to-end sourcing activities for goods and services, with a strong focus on cost savings, supply continuity, and supplier performance.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8 hrs/day OR 4 on, 3 off, 10hrs/day.
Compensation: This position offers a salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

The
Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day operations in a fast-paced mining environment. The successful candidate will independently manage sourcing events and act as a trusted procurement partner to operational and technical teams.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager
, the
Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist will have the following responsibilities:
- Support procurement planning for operational and project-based work
- Lead and independently manage end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFQs, RFPs, negotiations, and award recommendations
- Develop sourcing strategies aligned with operational needs, cost targets, and risk considerations
- Evaluate supplier proposals and support contract development and execution
- Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams to support procurement requirements
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support value improvement initiatives
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance standards
- Maintain procurement documentation and sourcing records to support audit and governance requirements

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:
- 5-10+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience
- Supply Chain certification (SCMP, CIPS, NISCL, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience in mining or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage competitive sourcing events and supplier negotiations
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to deliver measurable cost savings
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in operational environments
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
