Job description
ENSCO Inc is a diverse engineering and technology company that provides engineering, science and advanced technology solutions that guarantee mission success, safety, and security to governments and private industries worldwide.

The Space Force is focused on critical problems and accelerating the development, integration, and demonstration of capabilities for an end-to-end satellite operations ground system. The programs that this position will help shape will develop a next-generation ground system built on commercial cloud architectures and cutting edge multi-band antennas. This program will evaluate the software, systems and infrastructure to allow Space Force operators to reposition satellites or conduct other operations in a more agile way than is currently done.

We are seeking a Solutions Architect with experience in ground systems, rapid prototyping, cloud based architectures, software, and cybersecurity to join our team.

Duties include:
• Providing systems engineering and integration technical support for satellite communications network systems including Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C), scheduling, communications, and associated systems.
• Perform engineering of system architectures, requirements analysis and decomposition, including system performance test and verification.
• Analyze user needs and requirements to plan architecture.
• Review and assess contractor designs and conduct trade studies on alternative system design approaches.
• Support development of and review all levels of planning guidance in support of cyber operations.
• Support planning in system of systems engineering, integrating networks, databases, and software.
• Interface with critical government leadership.
• Program Management experience with roadmap development, process implementation, and establish visions with the government team.
• Assist team in development of on premise and off premise solutions for software based ground system interfaces.
• Develop approaches for antenna as a service architectures.

Qualifications Required
• Master's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or relevant Engineering degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of risk management processes.
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
• Knowledge of data aggregation, distributed system of system architectures.
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
• Knowledge of ground system architectures to include DoD, Federal, and Commercial.
• Knowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption).
• Knowledge of software engineering
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and methods that apply to software development.
• Ability to implement Zero Trust security in DoD Systems/Software
• AN ACTIVE DOD TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Qualifications Desired
• Working knowledge of the Satellite Control Network (SCN) or similar DoD program.
• Working knowledge of Federal and Commercial ground systems.
• Working knowledge of how to establish service level agreements between NASA or Commercial ground system providers and the DoD.
• Security+, CISSP, CCNA or similar relevant certification
• TS/SAP

Salary Range

$145,000-$225,000 USD
