Full Job Description
This individual leads the team to improve engineering efficiency, product quality and responsibility of the development, creation, and modification of general computer applications software or specialized utility Programs. Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. Designs software or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. Modifies existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Stores, retrieves, and manipulates data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Gathers, integrates, and interprets information across sub-systems from a variety of sources in order to troubleshoot issues and find solutions. Serves as a technical expert within area of focus. Identifies gaps in design, effort, etc., and closes the gaps. Identifies risks associated with designs, approaches, and other work efforts. Makes decisions based on incomplete, contradictory, and ambiguous requirements and information that affect policies and multiple teams in the software development process. Manages project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for larger projects. Acts as a tech lead on projects and owns the outcome of the project. Leads others with technical credibility. Drives technical excellence and mentors development teams through deep expertise in software development and architecture. Serves as a key technical contributor in designing and implementing scalable software solutions for 5G and RAN optimization and automation. Plays a key role in shaping software architecture to meet the performance and scalability demands of modern cellular networks. Works closely with site reliability engineers and domain experts to translate telecom requirements into robust and maintainable code. Applies deep knowledge of software engineering, distributed systems and AI to deliver production-grade features. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan. *Telecommuting permitted* *Domestic and international travel required up to 15%* Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and six (6) years of experience in a related occupation. Will also accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field and eight (8) years of progressive experience in a related occupation. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Pay Range: $205,489.00 - $244,000.00/year
