MANTECH seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Senior Office Manager/Staff Officer to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia.

The Senior Office Manager/Staff Officer will leverage their strong administrative background and technical knowledge to provide support for a specialized customer team. This role involves performing significant staff officer duties with little or no supervision, assisting in the development of mission and vision statements, and establishing goals and objectives for the enterprise.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serving as the primary suspense coordinator for all taskings while assembling and processing staff summary packages.
  • Performing administrative officer duties including scheduling, coordinating meetings, and managing calendars and events for senior leadership.
  • Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of office management policies, procedures, and records management guidelines.
  • Extracting and synthesizing complex information to prepare briefings, read-ahead materials, and special topic reports.
  • Coordinating office logistics such as floor plans, personnel moves, and travel itineraries via the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Compiling and disseminating articles from various branches to create and submit bi-weekly and Weekly Activity Reports (WAR).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to extract and synthesize complex information.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 11+ years of progressively responsible experience, or 15 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications and the ability to independently develop material using these applications.
  • Significant experience performing staff officer duties and interacting with senior-level directors or agency heads.
  • Proven experience and ability to identify, analyze, and resolve business and administrative issues central to effective office conduct.

  • Proficiency with government systems such as the Management Execution Tracker (MET) and travel systems.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to plan and lead sub-tasks or projects.
  • Knowledge of production programs, feature data profiles, and future planning activities within the enterprise.

Clearance Requirements:
  • An active/current TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
